Rooms

The Jacobs room is on the main floor. Named after the founder of the building in 1917. The building was originally constructed as a photography studio. This room features a plush queen size four poster bed with Comphy^TM sheets and My Pillows^TM. Cable/music TV is in each bedroom and warm, cozy colors of maroon and avocado are awaiting you for a good night sleep.

The Knights Room is named after the stately Knights standing guard as you enter The Bing. It is also named after the proud O-C Knights, Oakland's mascot. This bedroom is located in the lower level also featuring a plush queen size antique bed with Comphy^TM sheets and My Pillows^TM. The adjacent king-size bathroom is a site to see on it's own. Cable/music TV is also available.

Our newest room in the house. The Viking room is adjacent to The Knights room and features a spacious quarters with a queen-size bed with all the amenities you've come to expect from our rooms. This room also features a fantastic hearth/fireplace and large bureau. It shares the lower bathroom with the Knights room and, while mainly intended for group stays, the separate entrance allows non-group stays as well.

Take a step back in time with our beautiful front parlor featuring two 1890 Dog Chairs. Beautiful pieces, hand carved with dog heads on the arm rests. Enjoy your cable/music while uninterrupted by the modern TV. Sit, have a glass of wine or a cocktail and enjoy conversation with friends or family. We also have a pull out queen-size sofa bed available for friends or family traveling together. This bed shares the bath on the first level with the Jacobs room. It is topped with a mattress topper, Sleep Number^TM sheets and My Pillows^TM. This bed is not rented alone, only to friends or family traveling together.

Enjoy breakfast, lunch, brunch or whatever meal of the day suits your fancy in our unique dining/commons area. Featuring an 8x12 foot leaded glass window dating back to 1917, it is a lovely area to enjoy any meal from an early breakfast to a romantic evening dinner.

If you prefer the outdoors why not have a look at our beautiful garden area just off the dining room featuring a variety of flowers and shrubbery. This area is perfect for enjoying an early morning breakfast or an end of day cocktail. For an extra fee we will provide you with a fine cigar to enjoy in the garden area at your leisure. (Cigars may be enjoyed in the garden area only!)
