Swedish Herritage Center
The Swedish Heritage Center is a must see. It is housed in the old First Covenant Church on Highway 77. This museum is full of Oakland's rich history and beautiful displays of many ancestors that came to America from Sweden. The Heritage Center offers a brunch from 11:00am till 1:00pm on the first Sunday of every month.
Oakland Golf Club

Harvest Moon Pumpkin Patch

Nifty Thrifty Shop
Nifty Thrifty is always a fun place to find unique treasures. Terry and I have purchased many items for our bed and breakfast from Kathy and Mike. I always say, don't go to Nifty with something on your mind to find, but somehow, some treasure always finds me. Nifty Thrifty is located right across the street from The Bing and is open most days of the week.
